Artificial intelligence is accelerating, innovation is advancing, and new models of care are transforming how patients are treated.
The conference brought together leading global experts in ophthalmology with the aim of exchanging knowledge and defining the direction of ophthalmic practice in the coming decade. Special emphasis was placed on the application of artificial intelligence in clinical decision-making, diagnostics, and the optimization of treatment approaches.
Alongside Ivan Gabrić, MD, the program featured numerous distinguished international experts, including renowned ophthalmologists: Erik Mertens, Andrea Russo, Mayank Nanavaty, Milind Pande, Aylin Kiliç, David Shahnazaryan, Michael Mrochen, and Francesco Carones - leading figures in modern refractive and cataract surgery.
Dr. Ivan Gabrić actively contributed as a moderator and panelist and delivered a lecture titled “Evolution of KLEX - Energy & Scatter”.
The conference also marked three decades of excellence of Centre for Sight, one of Europe’s leading ophthalmology institutions, founded by Dr. Sheraz Daya, a pioneer of refractive surgery and one of the most influential ophthalmologists today, and Dr. Marcella Espinosa, a distinguished ophthalmologist and long-standing contributor to the development of high-quality patient care.
