The reunion of the world's best strabologists was held in the co-organization of Svjetlost and Ludwigs Maximilians Clinic from 29th to 31st of March 2023.
Head of the Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Professor Ivana Mravičić had the opportunity to host her longtime colleague and friend Professor Oliver Ehrt.An advanced strabismus surgery course was held at the Svjetlost Clinic. This continued the long-standing cooperation between the LMU Clinic from Münich and the Svjetlost Clinic.
As in previous years, the program included the most demanding strabismus surgeries: nystagmus surgery, muscle splitting surgery, muscle transposition surgery, combined operations on the oblique muscles, strabismus surgery in dysthyroid orbitopathy, strabismus surgery that occurred as a result of other eye surgeries.
Meetings like this enable the specialists of Svjetlost Clinic to acquire specific skills in connection with diagnostics and surgical techniques for the most complicated cases of strabismus and thus provide Svjetlost patients with a service that is in line with the highest world standards.
